Stellar 3.5-6 year olds

Stellar is for our 3.5 to 6 year olds, it is spacious inside and out. Here our children are becoming more independent and increasing their self-help skills. Tamariki are increasing their fine and gross motor skills and this environment is perfect. The children are extending their social skills and amazing friendships are forged in this tight knit group. The environment and flow of the day is designed to increase skills and preparedness for school. Everything is on offer throughout the day from art, dancing, music, singing, messy play, carpentry, reading and more. Activities and provocations are specially designed to cover all areas of the curriculum.

Our cook makes nutritious meals and snacks for our tamariki. On a Friday it’s lunch box day! This is a favourite with our children and helps prepare them for school.

Kaiako

Maria is qualified and the Head teacher of the over two’s. Maria has strong Christian values, she encourages and supports our children to make good choices. Maria oversees the Stellar and Clareo rooms. Maria shares her Pasifika culture with tamariki and Kaiako

Desley has many years experience working with tamariki. She encourages and supports our children with their self-help skills and independence increasing their confidence in preparation for school.

Brenda is our chameleon, you never know what colour hair she will have! she embraces our dress up days and no one else stands a chance. Brenda loves music and dancing with the children. Brenda has great relationships with the children and is always busy!

Ma’a is qualified and comes to us from Wellington (it’s ok, she now knows Auckland is better!) Ma’a has settled in well and we are so pleased to have her on board. She brings her Samoan culture and is a big comfort for our Samoan children when they start.
